Carrie Hamilton is a local Death Penalty Abolitionist, who actively works to educate and encourage activism in regards to the Death Penalty Abolishment movement. She is a local songwriter/performer and an elementary school teacher and has presented information workshops and events within the Monterey county area over the past several years. She will be offering information about the current laws and status of the death penalty in California, as well as information on some of the myths and misconceptions generally held by the public on this issue. She represents the state wide organization, Death Penalty Focus as well as the Salt and Light Social Justce Ministry at San Carlos Cathedral Catholic church, the Diocese of Monterey and Catholics Against Capital Punishment ( a national information organization).
