WILPF meeting with Riki Ott
Time: 6:30 pm
Event Description: Monday, March 15, 6:30 pm, Womens’ International League for Peace and Freedom monthly meeting will be devoted to a community dialogue with activist and author Riki Ott : OVER RULE THE COURT -IT’S TIME TO CHANGE THE RULES. The Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United is just the latest – and most blatant – example that corporations have hijacked our government. The ruling leaves ordinary citizens little opportunity to participate in making the fundamental decisions that affect our lives. Corporations are using our legal system against us.
IT’S TIME FOR A PEOPLE’S MOVEMENT
Riki Ott is a marine toxicologist who spent many years fighting for her community after the Exxon Valdez oil spill and author of Not One Drop.
