Corporation Study Group
Time: 12:00 pm
Event Description: Saturday, August 7, 12 noon – 2 pm – Final Session of the current series of Challenging Corporate Power, Asserting the People’s Rights Study/Discussion Group. Even before the recent Supreme Court decision in the Citizen’s United case we knew that corporations had taken control. In order to reclaim our rights we need to understand how corporations where able to gain power and the mechanisms they use to retain it. The Women’s International League of Peace and Freedom study guide is used to explore and discuss the corporate takeover and what we the people can do to reclaim democracy.
